The Best of the Procerin Reviews
What is Procerin?
Procerin is a hair loss treatment that comes as a combination of an oral tablet and a topical foam that is applied to the head.
The product is marketed as an all natural approach to hair loss treatment. Procerin contains no drugs or harsh chemicals.
Instead, its contents are made up of a combination of natural ingredients and plant extracts.
There are many Procerin reviews on the internet with conflicting opinions as to whether or not this product actually works. We will be answering that question below.
But first, how does Procerin work?
Procerin Active Ingredients
Procerin is touted as being an effective treatment to androgenic alopecia (pattern hair loss). It claims to do this by combining a number of potent natural ingredients.
It is believed that certain chemicals in these ingredients, can bind with hormones in the scalp and prevent them from transforming into DHT (the hormone that causes pattern hair loss).
Some of these ingredients have been scientifically proven to do just that. But they are never going to be as effective as a drug treatment such as minoxidil.
So what are these ingredients?
The main ingredients in Procerin are:
Saw Palmetto: Saw palmetto is an herbal substance that has shown promise in reducing an enlarged prostate (the same thing Finasteride was first used to treat). It is for this reason that saw palmetto has great promise as a hair loss treatment. Saw palmetto reacts with the enzyme that changes testosterone into DHT – however, there are limited studies to prove how effective it is.
Biotin: Biotin is a B group vitamin that is incredibly important for healthy hair and nails in the body. It helps improve the structure of keratin (the protein hair and nails are made out of).
Zinc Sulfate: Zinc helps the body to repair tissues, promotes cell growth and strengthens hair shafts. It also aids the oil-producing glands that form part of your hair follicles.
Gotu Kola: There are some studies that prove that Gotu Kola improves the hair length and density in mammals such as rats. While this has not been proven in to work on humans in a clinical trial. Many hair loss supplements contain Gotu Kola.
Pumpkin Seed Extract: There have been some clinical trials that have put pumpkin seed extract to the test. In the studies, it has been shown to improve hair growth and prevent hair loss in most patients compared to placebo. Pumpkin Seed Extract is included in many many hair loss treatments including hair loss shampoos.
Does Procerin Work?
So, does Procerin work?
The answer is yes.
As a natural treatment option, it has every natural hair loss treatment you could hope for.
We would recommend trying this product if you are at the very early stages of pattern hair loss. Possibly an NWII – NWIII on the Norwood scale.
BUT…. as a drug-free option, it has all the right ingredients.
The treatment needs to be used for a minimum of 3 months before any changes are noticed.
Many of the ingredients in Procerin are also included in some of the best hair loss shampoos. While these ingredients are not going to hinder your hair loss efforts, they are much more effective when combined with other treatments.
As a drug-free and all natural treatment, Procerin has a strong list of ingredients.
While it is not a miracle cure and will never be effective as some of the other treatments available. It is a good option for someone who is young and is only just beginning to experience hair loss.
