Regenepure DR Shampoo Review
Regenepure DR Shampoo is Regenepure’s flagship hair loss shampoo. It is a relatively new hair loss shampoo that has yet to make a massive impact in the market, unlike some of the other hair loss shampoos (Lipogaine Big 3 and Pura D’or).
The DR in Regenepure DR Shampoo stands for Doctor recommended. It is a no frills product that has an incredibly competitive price and contains an excellent portfolio of hair loss ingredients.
The marketing for this shampoo is somewhat unordinary. Regenepure has taken a no media approach to promoting the product. Instead, relying on the shampoos own merits to market itself.
In our Regenepure DR Shampoo review, we will look at what’s inside this hair loss shampoo and whether it can bat with the big boys.
Regenepure Shampoo Ingredients
Regenepure has really done their homework when putting together the DR shampoo. All ingredients contained in the shampoo have been scientifically proven to prevent and slow down hair loss or encourage new hair growth.
We will briefly go over these ingredients below:
It is one of the most important ingredients in any hair loss shampoo. Ketoconazole acts as an anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal agent; that improves scalp health.
The best perk about ketoconazole is its ability to increase the effects of other hair loss treatments such as Rogaine or Argan Oil by increasing the absorption and permeability of the ingredients into your hair follicles.
Aloe Vera Gel
Regenepure DR Shampoo contains Aloe Vera Gel. Multiple studies show that the gel is effective in reducing inflammation.
The purpose of including the gel in a hair loss shampoo is to sooth the effects of dermatitis and moisturize the scalp.
Aloe Vera Gel is also fantastic at protecting your hair, leaving it strong and shiny. It also gives the shampoo a ‘cooling’ sensation when applying it. Not really a benefit, but it feels nice!
Another common hair loss treatment. Saw Palmetto is derived from the wild fruits of the Saw Palmetto plant.
Used for decades by native Americans for its healing properties, more recently scientists have discovered the DHT blocking properties of the fruit.
Known commonly in the hair loss community as ‘nature’s Propecia,’ its benefits as a hair loss treatment are becoming more evident, and it has been showing up in all popular hair loss products.
Regenepure DR Shampoo Review
The first thing that stood out to us when reviewing this shampoo was the price. For a shampoo with the ingredients above including ketoconazole selling for $25 a bottle is crazy (10% off if you click this link). Some ketoconazole based shampoos are upwards of $45.
Aside, from the incredibly low price, Regenepue DR Shampoo has all the ingredients you could want in a hair loss shampoo.
Our reviewers found that the shampoos quality was very high, it smells great and lathers really well.
The effects of the Aloe Vera Gel feels great and helps to sooth the effects of the Ketoconazole. It leaves your hair feeling strong and shiny.
While most of our team were very positive about the shampoo, a few complained that they felt the Aloe Vera made their hair feel greasy and flat. Aloe Vera tends to be more suited to people with darker thicker hair.
The shampoo is incredibly potent at tackling the health of your scalp. It will cure any dermatitis, dandruff, fungal or bacterial infection very fast and efficiently. Maintaining scalp health is a critically important and commonly overlooked part of a hair loss treatment regime. This is something Regenepure DR Shampoo excels at.
- Aloe Vera – Helps soothe scalp and feels good – leaves hair feeling strong and shiny;
- Ketoconazole – All hair loss shampoos should have this.
- High-quality product – For the price, this shampoo is boarder line salon grade.
- Aloe Vera does not suit all hair types;
- Some reviewers preferred the original Regenepure NT Shampoo over the DR.
As you can see from our Regenepure DR Shampoo review, Regenepure have really put some thought and effort into their new product.
Their ability to make such a quality shampoo so cheap makes a continued hair loss treatment regime that much more affordable.
As mentioned above, Aloe Vera Gel is suited to some hair types rather than others, however, for the price it is worth seeing if Regenepure works for you.
